Watched: A Heartful of Love

I just watched Akihiko Shiota’s A Heartful of Love. I’m a great fan of Shiota and I know him for his (more or less) disturbing or strange movies (Moonlight Whispers, Harmful Insect, Gips, Canaria…) so maybe can imagine how surprised I was that this turned out to be “just another japanese tear drama” (yeah yeah, I have seen the name of the movie but still, it was Shiota).

Watched: Assassination

Assassination is an action thriller by Dong-hoon Choi. The setting is set in South Korea and Shanghai in 1933 during the Japanese occupation. While there are many Korean movies set in that time, Assassination follows a different way. It starts very confusing about the characters and the different parties.
