Watched: My Beloved Bodyguard

Finally Another Movie :). Directed by Sammo Hung, I had to see for myself why it got such a heav shitstorm. It is about a retired Federal Agent with early dementia, taking care of the Neighbors Daughter. Until one day the Father (Andy Lau) screws with the local Mob and his Daughter becomes their Target.

A somewhat predictable film, though if you like the Genre (like me), you will most certainly still enjoy it. It is surely not as good as Man on Fire or The Man From Nowhere and it’s certainly not a must-watch.

The fighting scenes aren’t very special and the score isn’t remarkable too. There were few nice cameos by HK actors from the 90s like Karl Maka and Yuen Biao.
